Less than Container Load (LCL)
An LCL shipment makes use of shared container space, where freight may be owned by multiple parties, with different Bills of Lading. Shipments are combined to save space and may be more cost efficient than FCL shipments as customers are only charged for the weight and volume of space needed.
Groupages and Consolidations
Consolidations involve combining several smaller shipments from multiple suppliers in close proximity into a full container, intended for one destination by one consignee. As a result of consolidations, customers can benefit from reduced shipping costs.
